Appointment of ATPM Chief Executive Officer
Australian Tourist Park Management (ATPM) Board of Directors has named Mark Manteit as its new CEO, effective 14 July. Mr Manteit takes over the role from outgoing CEO and company founder John Tilton, who will step back from day-to-day operations and continue as a part-time business development manager after 20 years building the business.
Chairman Graham Henry said Mr Manteit has more than 20 years of experience in senior and executive management roles in both public and private sectors, with a strong tourism and finance background. “Mark brings to ATPM a wealth of experience in strategic development, business planning and financial management, as well as an understanding of the ever-changing tourism industry,” said Mr Henry.
Mark began his career as an accountant with Ernst and Young and was one of the youngest partners to ever be appointed at the firm. He has since held senior roles at organisations including Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, the Phillip Island Nature Park, Melbourne Aquarium, Queensland Parks and Wildlife, the National Trust of Victoria and HSR Seeds.
Mr Henry said Mr Manteit’s impressive results in previous roles, coupled with his diverse skill set and interpersonal skills led to him being selected from a strong candidacy pool.
