Australia’s leading holiday park management company NRMA Parks and Resorts, formally known as Australian Tourist Park Management has added five new holiday parks to its growing national portfolio with the commencement of the contract to manage five iconic holiday parks along the Macleay Valley Coast in New South Wales.

The properties include Crescent Head Holiday Park, Hat Head Holiday Park, Horseshoe Bay Holiday Park, Grassy Head Holiday Park and Stuarts Point Holiday Park; each offering a holiday revolving around the beach, surfing, fishing and back-to-nature experiences.

NRMA Parks and Resorts CEO Paul Davies said the new additions to their holiday park network will bring more visitors to the Kempsey and Macleay Valley Coast region as well as provide local opportunities for the community.

“The tourism offering and local culture is core to the experience we offer our guests and we are excited about profiling the myriad of activities and experiences to our national and international customer base,” said Mr Davies.

NRMA Parks and Resorts manages nearly 40 holiday parks around Australia including self-branded NRMA Parks and Resorts, which incorporates the Escape2 Holiday Parks brand, and RAC Parks and Resorts.

“Our philosophy is to provide exceptional holiday experiences, with a combination of fantastic locations, great hospitality and excellent facilities and we are looking forward to working closely with park owners Kempsey Shire Council, local tourism operators, attractions and eateries to attract tourists to the region,” Mr Davies said.

“The Macleay Valley Coast provides a rich cultural heritage with plenty of natural attractions, events and amazing local produce; so we’re positive each and every guest will have a fantastic experience.”

Kempsey Shire Mayor, Liz Campbell said, “This is a new era of management and planned capital improvement for our holiday parks, with NRMA Parks and Resorts bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Macleay Valley Coast.”

“Located in popular and iconic coastal destinations, our parks play a key role in the local tourism sector. Kempsey Shire Council looks forward to working alongside NRMA Parks and Resorts to reinvigorate our parks and create memorable holiday experiences for the Macleay Valley Coast’s more than 500,000 visitors each year.”

NRMA Parks and Resorts is an innovative tourism management firm providing management, marketing and consultancy services to the holiday park and resort industry. The company has successfully and proudly operated its business from the Gold Coast for 22-years, employs more than 350 staff and currently owns or manages nearly 40 holiday parks and resorts across six Australian states. From Cairns to Port Arthur in Tasmania and Victor Harbor in South Australia, across to Monkey Mia in Western Australia, NRMA Parks and Resorts manages NRMA Holiday Parks, RAC Parks and Resorts, Escape2 Holiday Parks and now Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Parks.

NRMA acquired NRMA Parks and Resorts earlier this year, making the organisation Australia’s second largest owners and operators of Holiday Parks. The acquisition enables NRMA to offer high-quality management services alongside an increased national footprint of owned parks. The NRMA’s growth in the Australian domestic tourism sector is  a strong endorsement for what the NRMA considers the quintessential Australian driving holiday experience.

The acquisition will significantly enhance the NRMA’s already considerable investment portfolio in Australian tourism and travel, which includes Travelodge Hotels, the Kurrajong Hotel in Canberra, and Thrifty Car Rental.
