The NRMA has increased its national stable of holiday parks with its acquisition of the idyllic Big4 Bathurst Panorama Holiday Park, located at the gateway of western NSW.
The acquisition increases the NRMA’s stable of owned or managed holiday parks to 37, making it Australia’s second largest operator in this tourism sector, following its acquisition of Australian
Tourist Park Management (ATPM) in May 2017.
The location of the Big4 Bathurst Panorama Holiday Park makes it a popular accommodation spot for motoring enthusiasts attending the internationally-renowned Bathurst 1000 and other events in the town. This acquisition will now enable NRMA Members to receive a 10 per cent discount* when staying at the only Holiday Park in Bathurst.
The Big4 Bathurst Panorama Holiday Park is located at the gateway of western NSW and provides an ideal addition to the holiday itinerary for couples and families visiting western NSW tourist destinations, including Dubbo, Mudgee, Orange and Broken Hill. The acquisition also provides greater accommodation options for families visiting rural and regional centres, adding to the NRMA’s Australia-wide network of beachside Holiday Parks.
The popular park contains 30 cabins and over 100 powered sites for caravans and tents. The Holiday Park also offers a range of facilities for travellers including a spectacular outdoor pool and children’s play facilities. The NRMA will invest over $2 million in upgrading the park’s amenities, cabins and powered sites, providing an additional boost to the local economy.
NRMA Holiday Parks /ATPM CEO Paul Davies said boosting Australia’s domestic tourism industry and providing Australian families with unique holiday experiences was the driving force behind the purchase.
