The NRMA has continued its holiday park portfolio expansion with the purchase of the Big4 Capricorn Palms Holiday Park, located at the gateway to Queensland’s iconic Capricorn Coast.

Situated just outside of Yeppoon on Mulambin Beach, NRMA Capricorn Yeppoon Holiday Park, previously known as Big 4 Capricorn Palms, has now been brought under the stable of NRMA Parks and Resorts.

This will bring the number of NRMA branded parks and resorts to 23, with further expansion expected in the coming months.

The NRMA Capricorn Yeppoon Holiday Park is ideal for families looking for a relaxing holiday with great value for money. It boasts a amphitheatre for movie nights and a large pool, while its location connects families to the Great Barrier Reef and Great Keppel Island.

NRMA Parks and Resorts CEO, Paul Davies, said providing families with quality holiday accommodation while boosting Australia’s domestic tourism industry was behind the purchase.

“The NRMA is committed to finding new ways to unlock what our great country has to offer to our Members at an affordable price,” Mr Davies said.

“The purchase of the Capricorn Yeppoon Holiday Park directly aligns with the NRMA’s vision of boosting local tourism industries; we know that for every dollar spent at a holiday park, $1.38 is then invested into the local economy.”
The coastal location of the park is on the doorstep of the Great Barrier Reef, providing holiday makers with an abundance of family-friendly activities like snorkelling, boating and turtle viewing.

For the many families who enjoy road-tripping up the coast from Brisbane, NRMA Capricorn Yeppoon is an easy half day drive from NRMA Woodgate Beach Holiday Park on the beautiful Fraser coast.

Mr Davies said the year-round warm climate of the Capricorn Coast meant the Park provided the perfect base to explore the region.

“It’s little wonder Mulambin Beach, where the Park is located, is said to be the most photographed stretch of coastline in central Queensland,” Mr Davies said.

“Bushwalking, a ferry trip to Great Keppel Island, fishing along the beach, relaxing on the sandy shore or getting amongst the fun of the waterslides in the Park are all fantastic family holiday experiences that are available within the one great location.

“Holiday parks are the cornerstone of the quintessential Australian driving holiday and the NRMA’s expansion in the industry is a tangible way for us to safeguard this wonderful tradition for future generations. Our mission is to make the great Australian road trip experience more enjoyable and accessible for everyone,” Mr Davies said.

NRMA Members are eligible for privileges (stay 4/pay 3, or 10% off for shorter stays), and members of other auto clubs such as RACQ are also eligible for a 10% discount.
